At Jeevan Deep Samiti, our mission is to ignite lasting change in rural Himalayan communities by focusing on three core pillars: education, environment, and empowerment. We are committed to providing quality, accessible education for children, promoting environmental conservation through hands-on action, and supporting women to become confident leaders in their families and communities. By working closely with local people, we aim to nurture self-reliance, dignity, and long-term sustainability — one village at a time.

Our goal is to build a society that is educated, environmentally aware, and socially inclusive, driven by values of compassion, responsibility, and collective progress. Through grassroots efforts and community partnership, we strive to create a model for development that honors both people and the planet.

— Our Story
Jeevan Deep Samiti was founded in 2012 by Mr. Manoj Negi, a retired Indian Army soldier who returned to his village in the Himalayan foothills with a heart full of purpose. He saw first-hand the challenges his people faced — children with limited access to education, women without economic opportunities, and a natural environment being slowly eroded. Refusing to stand by, he took action. What began with a small group and a strong will has grown into a community-powered movement.
Today, Jeevan Deep Samiti runs a charitable primary school, a computer learning center, plantation drives, and regular community awareness campaigns. Our work is not charity — it is collaboration. It’s about creating the conditions for people to thrive and take pride in their own growth. With every classroom we open, every tree we plant, and every voice we uplift, we carry forward a simple but powerful belief: real change begins at home.
